Meet the TEAM

Dana Farra, Co-Founder/CEO

Maham Faisal, Digital Marketing & Design Coordinator

Dr. Ayesha Shaheryar, Co-Founder

I’m a pediatric speech-language pathologist, personal trainer, and community builder at heart. I’m currently pursuing my master’s in speech-language pathology with a focus on bilingualism, aiming to support families in our communities and Islamic schools across Texas. Across my clinical work, fitness background, and years of community leadership, I believe movement, connection, and personal growth are deeply interconnected and essential to strong, healthy communities. My deepest intention is to create spaces where Muslim women feel a true sense of belonging, where they are welcomed as they are and supported as they grow through every season of life. I’m passionate about cultivating spiritually grounded, inclusive environments rooted in wellness and sisterhood, where women can walk alongside one another, learn, and thrive together.

I am a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with clinical expertise in Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), Major Depression, and Bipolar Disorder. My work centers on supporting youth and families through compassionate, evidence-based care. Outside of my clinical practice, I carry a lifelong love for movement, whether its running, dancing, swimming, or staying active in any way that brings strength and joy. I believe that caring for the body is a powerful way to care for the mind, and that movement is woven into our very nature. I am honored to support others on their journey toward wellness and thriving.

Community has always been at the heart of my work, which is why being part of Noor Collective has been so meaningful as they set the tone for Muslim women in Austin and beyond.

I hold an MBA specializing in Digital Marketing and a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies & Sustainability. Previously, I worked as a Project Coordinator for Boston Harbor Women of Color, served as a Sisters’ Youth Group Director at my local mosque, and designed websites for Muslim organizations—always with a focus on giving back to my community.

Now based in Phoenix, I’m grateful to continue supporting and building such an impactful community.

Although I’m now based in Phoenix, I’m grateful to continue being part of building such a strong and impactful community.

I am an international business student at St. Edward’s University with a minor in Management, driven by a global mindset and a deep interest in community-centered work. I’ve always been passionate about women’s empowerment and the importance of creating spaces where women feel supported, confident, and heard. As someone who thrives in people-focused environments, I’m drawn to roles that allow me to connect, lead, and build with intention. I was searching for a space that felt genuine and grounding, one rooted in creativity, connection, and shared growth. Noor became that space for me, reinforcing my belief in uplifting one another and building communities where women are empowered.

I am a psychology student at the University of Texas at Austin. I discovered Noor Collective through a friend and was immediately drawn to its mission. I believe Austin needs a safe, welcoming space for Muslim women seeking meaningful connection and community. What resonated most with me was that Noor Collective goes beyond social gatherings, creating a space that also centers health, wellness, and intentional growth and I'm excited to be part of building and nurturing that community.

I am a Finance major at The University of Texas at Austin with a strong interest in social work and collaboration. After leaving Dallas for college, I found myself searching for a new community where I could feel heard, seen, and empowered to grow. Noor Collective became that sanctuary for me, offering a space to build meaningful connections with like-minded women and a sense of belonging within a group that both supports and motivates me to become the healthiest, best version of myself.
